Privacy Policy

How Fold Motion handles information when you use the app.

Effective September 15, 2026

01

App and developer

This Privacy Policy applies to Fold Motion (listed as Fold Motion – Duo Animation), Android package com.inspolab.foldmotion, provided by AnyDroid. It describes version 1.2.0, with the differences for versions 1.1.0 and 1.0.0 below. No account is required.

Fold Motion applies a hinge-driven blur effect on compatible foldable devices. The app has no advertising, in-app purchases, analytics SDK, remote crash reporting, or network permission.

02

Information handled

On-device settings and sensors. Effect preferences, the master switch, your accessibility disclosure consent version, and theme settings remain on your device. Hinge-angle readings are used in memory to update the effect and are not recorded or sent to us. The app checks whether the device supports the required sensor and window blur.

Accessibility and optional screen captures (1.2.0). With explicit accessibility consent and Android settings approval, you can choose two methods. The default Live blur method takes no screenshots. Only after choosing Snapshot transformation and accepting a separate disclosure, the service captures the visible screen at the start of a folding phase or a display-size transition. Images may contain personal information visible in apps, notifications or a supported lock screen. Pixels are used only for the temporary perspective, blur and shading effect. No text recognition, accessibility event processing, UI node inspection, taps or gestures are performed.

Captures stay only in device memory. They are never saved to files, included in diagnostics, transmitted or shared. They are released when the phase ends, after fading out when folding stops, on a method switch, feature stop, screen off or service disconnect. Late callback results are discarded; protected or failed captures skip the effect. Captured content may briefly look frozen. Select Live blur or turn off the master switch to stop captures. Choosing a method while the feature is off does not start it.

Earlier version 1.1.0. Only Live blur is available and no screenshot capability is requested or used. Neither 1.1.0 nor 1.2.0 uses a foreground service, persistent notification or display-over-other-apps permission. Lock/cover-screen compatibility varies by device.

Earlier version 1.0.0. This version uses display-over-other-apps permission and a user-started foreground service with a Stop notification. It does not use AccessibilityService. It does not capture, read, or store screen content.

Local diagnostics. A bounded journal stores timestamps, app version, predefined technical event names, error categories, service states, and Android process-exit reason codes when available. These records stay on your device. Custom records do not contain screen images, typed text, raw sensor values, settings values, document locations, or original exception messages.

Optional diagnostic sharing. If you select Share diagnostics, the app creates a report containing the recent journal, app/build version, device manufacturer and model, Android version, firmware build, security patch, sensor availability, and diagnostic counters. You choose the recipient in Android’s share chooser. No report is automatically sent to support. Copies you choose to send are handled by the recipient and the service you select.

Use and sharing

Local information is used to provide your selected effect and help investigate reliability problems. Fold Motion does not automatically transmit app data to AnyDroid or third parties. We do not sell personal information.

If you contact AnyDroid, we receive your email address, message, and any report or attachment you choose to include. We use this information to answer your request and investigate the issue. Send only information you want us to receive. We may disclose information when required by applicable law.

Choices, retention, security, and contact

In version 1.1.0 and later, turn off the master switch to stop all live effects, or disable Fold Motion in Android Accessibility settings. While the switch is on, effects may continue after leaving the app and resume when the screen wakes or Android reconnects the service, including after a device restart. Sensor and rendering work pause while the screen is off or support for the selected method is unavailable. Consent is required before effects can run; clearing app data removes that consent. In version 1.0.0, stop from the app or notification; screen lock, task removal, or loss of required permissions/support ends the session, without automatic restart.

Settings remain until you clear app storage or uninstall Fold Motion. The diagnostic journal retains up to 256 records within seven days; older records are pruned when the journal is next accessed. The latest manual export stays in app cache until replaced, cleared by Android, or deleted with app data. Automatic Android backup and device transfer are disabled. Deleting app data does not delete copies you previously shared with another service or recipient.

App-private storage and temporary file-access grants limit access to local diagnostics. Support messages and reports you send us are retained only as reasonably necessary to answer and resolve your request or meet legal obligations. To request deletion of information you sent us, or exercise applicable privacy rights, contact support@anydroid.com.
