Privacy Policy

How Assistive Touch handles information when you use the app.

Effective October 9, 2026

App and developer

This Privacy Policy applies to Assistive Touch, an Android app provided by AnyDroid. Assistive Touch does not require an account.

02

Information handled

Assistive Touch stores settings, action assignments, and drawn gestures on your device. Its Accessibility Service is used only to display the floating button, recognize gestures you perform, run actions you configure, and hide the service in apps you exclude. Screen content, typed text, drawn gesture paths, installed-app information, and accessibility-event contents are not automatically uploaded to us or third parties by these accessibility features. Backups you choose to export may contain your settings, action assignments, and drawn gestures; you choose where to save them.

The ad-supported version uses Google AdMob and configured mediation providers, including Meta Audience Network, InMobi, and Liftoff Monetize. Depending on your region and privacy choices, these providers may process IP address and approximate location, device or advertising identifiers, app and ad interactions, and diagnostic information for advertising, measurement, fraud prevention, and reliability. Premium users are not served ads. User Messaging Platform manages privacy choices independently of Premium access.

Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics collect app interactions, crash and diagnostic information, app and device metadata, and app-installation identifiers to measure use and investigate reliability problems. Analytics may also process approximate location and advertising identifiers where available, subject to applicable consent and device settings. Analytics and crash diagnostics also apply to Premium users. Firebase Remote Config is used to retrieve app configuration and may process an app-installation identifier.

In versions with operational diagnostics, technical records include app and service state, window failures, settings or gesture-storage failures, backup and restore errors, billing response codes, and Android process-exit reasons when available. The app records predefined event names and error categories rather than copying personal text or original error messages into these diagnostic events. These records do not include gesture names or paths, selected app identities, screen or accessibility-event content, document locations, or purchase tokens.

Versions with product analytics also record onboarding progress, viewed app screens, predefined gesture and action types, whether action requests were accepted, feature configuration summaries, gesture counts, backup and restore results, and Premium offer and purchase-flow outcomes. Configuration summaries include sensitivity, appearance, and enabled-feature settings; they do not contain gesture drawings, gesture names, selected app identities, shortcuts, or custom notification text. The app can record that a predefined external destination was opened and that you returned to Assistive Touch, but does not observe what you do in other apps. Daily distinct gesture counts use locally salted hashes; neither names nor hashes are uploaded. Local measurement state is excluded from app backups.

If you choose Share diagnostics in Troubleshooting, the app creates a file with recent technical records, app version, device manufacturer and model, Android and firmware version, and accessibility and battery-optimization status. You choose the destination in the system share chooser. The app does not automatically send that file to support. A copy you send is handled by the recipient and any service you choose to use.

Google Play processes Premium purchases. Assistive Touch receives purchase status needed to provide and restore Premium access but does not receive payment card details. If you contact us, we receive the information you include in your message.

03

Use and sharing

Information is used only to provide the app and purchases, deliver and measure ads, understand feature use and improve the app, maintain security and reliability, and answer support requests. Google and its advertising providers may process information for these purposes. We do not sell personal information. Where applicable, processing is based on consent, providing the service you request, legitimate interests in operating and securing the app, or legal obligations. See Google's Privacy Policy.

04

Choices, retention, security, and contact

Where required, use Privacy choices in More or first-run onboarding to review or change your choices. This entry remains available to Premium users. Where applicable, these choices control Analytics storage and the use of data for advertising. Crash diagnostics are managed separately and remain enabled; the app currently has no separate opt-out control for them. Sharing a diagnostic file is optional. You may also manage your Android advertising ID, disable the Accessibility Service, or clear app storage and uninstall Assistive Touch to delete local data.

Settings and gesture data remain locally until you delete them or uninstall the app, subject to any backups you have made. In versions with operational diagnostics, the local journal retains up to 256 events from the last seven days; older entries are removed when the journal is updated and excluded from exports. One cached diagnostic export is replaced when you create the next export and may be cleared by Android. Clearing app storage removes these local diagnostic files. Copies you exported elsewhere are not deleted by clearing app storage.

The seven-day limit applies to the local journal, not to data already sent to Google. Firebase states that Crashlytics retains crash traces and associated identifiers for 90 days before beginning removal from live and backup systems. Analytics and other Google services retain data under their applicable policies and configured retention settings. See Firebase's privacy and retention information. Support messages and diagnostic files you send us are retained only as reasonably necessary to investigate and respond, or meet legal obligations. We use reasonable safeguards, including encrypted connections for automatic telemetry and restricted service access.
